Welcome

Thank you for visiting Champlain Area Trails (CATS). We offer a network of trails for hiking, walking, skiing, snowshoeing, birding, tracking, and picnicking in and around the Champlain Valley in New York State’s Adirondack Park. Our trails pass through a rich tapestry of preserved wildlife habitats, pastoral farmland, historic villages, and scenic woodlands. Hikers enjoy those features and the Valley's diverse aquatic systems—streams, rivers, wetlands, ponds and Lake Champlain. Please use our trails--we know you will like them!

Champlain Area Trails is a non-profit organization whose mission is to develop and maintain a trail network that links our communities, connects people to nature, interprets and publicizes the Valley's natural and cultural heritage, and promotes economic vitality.
